Lincoln, NE — Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB) staff will be on hand at the upcoming Nebraska Ag Expo to answer questions about health care options during open enrollment and to promote the new Nebraska Farm Bureau Health Plans (NEFBHP). In addition, agents and staff from FBFS will be available to discuss your ag insurance needs. The Expo will be held December 9–11 at the Sandhills Global Event Center in Lincoln.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Dec. 10, to celebrate Nebraska Farm Bureau Day at the Expo! Be sure to visit Farm Bureau Booth #2212 in Pavilion 2 at the Nebraska Ag Expo for a chance to win a top-tier cooler perfect for tailgates, road trips, and farm/ranch life or win a durable, high-capacity generator, built for reliable performance on the farm, ranch, or wherever you need backup power.

While you’re there, pick up a free koozie, and if you’re a member or become a new member, don’t forget to grab your leather Farm Bureau work gloves! This is just our way of saying thank you for being part of the Farm Bureau family!

“The Nebraska Ag Expo is a great opportunity for us to connect directly with our members and the broader ag community,” said Adam Peterson Nebraska Farm Bureau senior director of Leadership/Field Services. “Whether it’s answering questions about health coverage options during open enrollment or simply saying thank you with a few member perks, we’re here to support the needs of Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers. From health plans and insurance products to high-quality member benefits, Farm Bureau is committed to helping members protect what matters most—on the farm or ranch, at home, and beyond. As open enrollment gets underway, Nebraska Farm Bureau encourages members to explore the Nebraska Farm Bureau Health Plans, especially considering possible changes to health subsidies. With many individuals and families facing higher costs as the possibility of subsidies phasing out, it’s more important than ever to find affordable, comprehensive coverage that meets your needs.

“NEFB Health Plans are provided under a self-funded arrangement and administered by Farm Bureau Health Plans of Tennessee, a licensed third-party administrator,” said Kelsey Scheer, assistant director of NEFB Health Plans. “This organization manages similar plans for Farm Bureaus in seven states across the country, including Nebraska.” You must be a Nebraska Farm Bureau member to apply for NEFB Health Plans. Once enrolled, members must maintain their membership to keep their coverage active. Unlike many traditional health insurance programs, NEFB Health Plans allow members to apply at any time, there’s no limited open enrollment period.

But health care is just one of the many benefits of being a Farm Bureau member. NEFB members enjoy exclusive discounts on hotel stays, rental cars, equipment, health care, Ford trucks, and much more. With more than 40-member benefit partners, visiting the NEFB booth is a great way to discover how to make the most of your membership.

“We encourage all members to download the Farm Bureau Member Benefits mobile app,” said Peterson. “It’s a convenient way to access your digital membership card, special savings codes, and links to member-exclusive deals. Just search ‘FB Benefits’ on Google Play or the App Store.”
