Given the rapid change in the agricultural industry, including aging farmers and ranchers, consolidation, globalization, and increased regulation and volatility in the markets and the operating environment, succession planning for farm and ranch families has become more complex and critical than ever. This presentation will cover a range of issues and considerations in agricultural estate and succession planning intended to arm you with some of the tools necessary to protect the operation you spend your life building.
About the Speaker
Anthony Aerts is an attorney in Rembolt Ludtke’s agricultural, estate planning, real estate, and business services practice groups. He was raised on a grain and livestock farm outside of David City, Nebraska, and attended Stanford University in California, prior to returning to Nebraska to begin his legal career. Due to this rural upbringing, Anthony enjoys splitting time between his firm’s Seward and Lincoln offices and working with Nebraska’s farm and ranch families to confront the complex legal needs facing their operations and families.
For over 50 years Rembolt Ludtke attorneys have represented clients in every facet of agriculture, from production agriculture to ag technology. They understand agriculture because many of their attorneys hail from farms and rural communities and remain involved in the industry. From contracts to ranch sales, from succession planning to litigation, from farm and ranch taxation to federal programs, Rembolt Ludtke is here to help you achieve success.
