Alternate Truck Routes

To meet city regulations and help ensure safe transportation, over-dimensional equipment requires a city permit. Exhibitors may also review the approved alternate truck routes before traveling to the Expo.

Directions for Vehicles with Over-Dimensional Loads

If you are planning to bring over-dimensional equipment to the Nebraska Ag Expo, you will be required to purchase an over-dimensional permit from the city of Lincoln to drive inside city limits. However, you can avoid having to purchase a permit if you use one of the alternate truck routes listed below and remain outside of city limits.

  • From the West and East: Travel on I-80 to Exit 409. Take Highway 6/Cornhusker Highway to the northeast to Waverly. Turn right on to North 148th Street and travel south to Havelock Road. Turn right at Havelock and go west to the Sandhills Global Event Center , located at the intersection of North 84th Street and Havelock Road.
  • From the North: From Highway 77, turn left and go east on Waverly Road. Then turn right at North 148th and go south to Havelock Road (1 mile south of Prairie Home). Turn right and go west to the Sandhills Global Event Center , located at the intersection of North 84th Street and Havelock Road.
  • From the South: From the intersection of Highway 2 and 43, travel west 1 mile to South 148th and go north across Highway 134/“O” Street. Turn left at Havelock Road and go west to the Sandhills Global Event Center , located at the intersection of North 84th Street and Havelock Road.

Parking at the Sandhills Global Event Center

Parking in the lots surrounding the Sandhills Global event Center is free! ADA accessible parking spots are located near the entrances of the Ag Society Hall and Currency Pavilion. RV and camper parking is allowed on the east side of LivestockMarket Pavilion. Contact the Sandhills Global event Center at 402.441.6545 for specific details and fees.

What are the hours of the Expo?

Tuesday & Wednesday hours are 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Thursday hours are 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Where is my booth located?

Your booth number can be found on communications, including your contract, from nebraskaagexpo@ineda.com and also in the Exhibitor Resource Center. Please refer to the online floorplan for the physical location of your booth.

Can I pay for my booth space and marketing opportunities online?

Yes! Log into the Exhibitor Resource Center to view and pay invoices online.

What is included with my booth?

Your booth includes: 

  • A 6’ Skirted Table & 2 chairs 
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi

  • Forklift service from Company Vehicle (Freight from Common Carrier must go through Liberty Exposition)

Where do I send the logo for Enhanced Logo and Company Listing?

If you purchased the Enhanced Logo and Company Listing, upload your logo into your Exhibitor Resource Center and our team will take it from there! The recommended logo size is 600 x 200 px. Supported file formats: .jpg and .png.

How can I update my company profile and complete tasks?

As your company’s primary contact, you have access to the Exhibitor Resource Center, where you can manage your company profile, track important deadlines, and complete required tasks. If additional team members need access, you’ll be able to add them as users once you’re logged in.

How do I get electricity for my booth?

Electric service must be ordered in advance through Sandhills Global Event Center. Link is provided in Exhibitor Toolkit.

How do I get internet service for my booth?

Wi-Fi is included with your booth space rental. Hardwired internet must be ordered in advance through Sandhills Global Event Center. Link is provided in Exhibitor Toolkit.

How can I get more furniture at my booth?

Your booth includes a 6’ skirted table and 2 chairs. Additional booth furnishings must be ordered in advance through Liberty Exposition Services. Link is provided in Exhibitor Toolkit under “Decorator Services/Freight”.

Do you provide TV monitors or other electronics for my booth?

Electronic needs can be ordered in advance through InspirMedia.

Where can I purchase event liability insurance?

Insurance can be purchased through RainProtection. Link is provided in Exhibitor Toolkit.

How do we request name badges for people working in our booth?

You will be emailed with instructions on how to complete the badge request form. Badge forms must be submitted 1 week prior to the Expo to ensure they are printed.

Where do I pick up name badges for staff working in our booth?

Name badges will be available to pick up on Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Monday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm in the Expo Office (between the Currency & TractorHouse Pavillion buildings).

How do I arrange freight shipments?

Arrangements have been made with Liberty Exposition Services to receive all inbound/outbound shipments up to 30 days prior to the start of the Expo. This will ensure delivery to your booth at the proper time. This service includes receiving freight at their warehouse or event center and delivering to your booth. Empty crates will be returned to your booth at the close of the Expo and crated freight will be removed from your booth and shipped as directed. How do I arrange return freight shipping?

Liberty Exposition Services will assist with your return shipping. Shipments must be properly packaged and labeled for outbound shipping and left in your booth space for pick up. Please ensure all carrier outgoing paperwork is complete. Liberty Exposition will have a counter near the Expo office.

What are the guidelines for heavy equipment, fuel tanks, batteries and tire protectants/cleaners?

Heavy equipment or materials must be carried or moved in/out on wheels. Equipment may not be dragged, skidded, or rolled over floors. Carpet damage will be assessed as a repair fee.

Vehicles are to have no more than 10% of fuel tank capacity or 5 gallons, whichever is less. All fuel caps must be sealed or locked, batteries disconnected or locked out and ignition keys removed.

No spray painting or use of tire protectants/cleaners are allowed. Use of such products will result in an assessment for damage/replacement of carpet or floor cleaning at a minimum $300 fine for damage.

Can I drop off large equipment ahead of time & leave it?

Yes. Equipment staging starts on Thursday before the Expo with forklift availability starting the Friday before the Expo. Please call Expo Management at 515-223-5119, if special arrangements are needed.

Can I get my equipment pressure washed before the Expo begins?

Yes, weather permitting, pressure washing is available Sunday and Monday at no charge.

Where can I park a truck & trailer?

Trailers can be parked in the area along Havelock Ave., Northeast of TractorHouse Pavilion. Trailer parking in other lots during the Expo is prohibited.

When can I move into my booth?

Move in information will be sent approximately 30 days prior to the start of the Expo and posted in the Exhibitor Toolkit. All move in and prep must be completed by 6:00 pm on Monday prior to the opening of the Expo on Tuesday morning.

How can I get onsite assistance at the Expo?

Please call 515.223.5119 or visit the Expo office in between the Currency and TractorHouse Pavillion buildings.

How do I arrange forklift assistance during move in and move out?

Expo staff will facilitate move-in forklifting beginning at 10:30 am on Sunday, 8:00 am Monday and during move out. Forklifts will be available for loading till 11:00 am Friday. To arrange forklifting service after 11:00 Friday, please call Sandhills Global Event Center at 402.441.6545 (a service fee will apply).

When can I move out of my booth?

The Expo closes at 3:00 pm on Thursday. Exhibitors are not permitted to remove exhibits or any part thereof before the close of the Expo. All equipment & exhibits must be removed from Sandhills Global Event Center by 8pm on Thursday Exhibitors moving out early can be fined and are at risk of not being allowed to exhibit the following year.

How long can I leave my equipment at the Event Center after the Expo?

You may leave your equipment in the large lot east of TractorHouse Pavilion until 4:30 pm on the Tuesday after the Expo. Forklifting is ONLY available till 11:00 am on the Friday after the Expo.

Is the facility accessible?

Yes! The Sandhills Global Events Center is one level and fully accessible.
